I am a full-time triathlete, I spend 5 months of the year overseas racing on the international circuit, trying to win enough money to get me to the next race and also earn the world ranking points I need to get to the Olympics!
I have been the New Zealand under-23 champion 2007, 2008, 2009, and last year finished 4th at the under-23 Elite World Championships on the Gold Coast, Australia.
I train up to 30 hours per week: swimming in the pool, in our beautiful lakes, biking through our mountains, running on our untouched trails, and not forgetting the hours spent in the gym. Any money I receive from sponsors and all winnings from racing goes towards flights, accommodation, food, and equipment.
I know exactly where I want to be and what I want to do with my triathlon career. I work through the hard situations so I can get to the good times and I have set my goals to progress to the top. I know where I need to be at each stage to reach my dream. Over the past 5 years I have always achieved my goals even when hindered by injuries. However, the next key steps towards achieving my ultimate goal, the Olympics, require significant financial support.
I love this sport, I love this pure country, and I’m proud to represent New Zealand. Any support would be a huuuuuge help in getting me to where I aspire to be.
